Description

The Night Time Caregiver is responsible for providing compassionate and supportive care to seniors living in the care home during the overnight shift. They will work under the direction of the Care Manager and will be responsible for ensuring that the residents are safe, comfortable, and well-cared for at all times. The Night Time Caregiver will also be responsible for assisting with basic personal care tasks and providing support with medication management as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide compassionate and supportive care to seniors living in the care home during the overnight shift
- Assist with basic personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as prescribed and document administration according to established policies and procedures
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and report any concerns to the Care Manager
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided to residents
- Ensure that the senior care home is clean and safe at all times
- Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a caregiver for seniors is preferred
- Caring and compassionate personality
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of medication administration and basic personal care tasks for seniors
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to policies and procedures
- First aid and CPR certification is preferred
