Description

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Team Lead position is responsible for the accurate operation of the payables function of the respective business unit. The role will act as the subject matter expert for the Accounts Payable team in their day-to-day functional areas.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise employees within the Accounts Payable department, which involves maintaining employee records, evaluating performance, and assisting employees with their personal and professional growth
- Comply with the monthly close schedule timing, to ensure accurate and timely completion of all monthly tasks and accruals related to accounts payable
- Review the work of the team members and assist in complex problem resolution
- Liaise with branch and vendor in payment settlement and reconciliation
- Participate in conflict resolution between different stakeholders
- Respond to queries with solution regarding payables
- Assist in ad-hoc reporting, analysis and projects as required
- Assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor with recommendation on recruiting, performance review input, training and development and engaging and retaining team members
- Manage scheduling of workload and ensure an uninterrupted workflow in the team
- Mentoring and motivating team members to innovate and move the business forward
- Participate in continuous process improvement and communication to stakeholders

Required Skills:
- Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in large general ledger account reconciliations
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Desire for continuous improvement in a fast-paced learning and high-volume environment
- Able to manage multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency
- Strong capabilities to multi-task and problem solve
- Experienced in managing high volumes of processing and quantity of suppliers
