Description

Reporting to the Director, Financial Reporting and Control, the Divisional Controller is responsible for leadership in the delivery of meaningful, accurate and timely reporting of financial and other business metrics to all levels of management and maintaining financial policies and procedures to enhance the strength and consistency of internal control.  The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter, has excellent communication skills, and brings a diverse financial background.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide positive and professional leadership to finance team members and ensure the team is in a position to support Brandts strategic goals.
- Develop a strong understanding of Brandts operations and industry to contribute strategic financial advice to leaders across the business.
- Oversee the issuance of monthly and annual financial statements and reporting packages for the Division.
- Oversee the annual audit process, ensuring timely preparation of deliverables for the external auditors and to the Manager of Financial Reporting, for completion of the consolidated audited statements and income tax returns.
- Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal, regulatory and company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis in supporting the annual operating and capital budget process.
- Partner with operations and sales leaders to define, measure, analyze, and improve current processes.
- Provide strategic analysis as required to drive improved decision making.
- Specific projects and other related duties as required.
