Description

The Citizen-Centric Program Delivery (CCPD) branch seeks an effective communicator, cross-team collaborator with strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills for the position of Senior Planner, Application Portfolio Management Services.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with and advise senior executives in government on all aspects of application support and lifecycle management and lead teams involving multiple ministries and external resources.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in information technology or a related field
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- 10 to 15 years of IT and business industry work experience, which includes at least 3-5 years of experience in managing teams or projects. Typically requires advanced technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines, technologies, and processes.
- Application portfolio management or product management experience is preferred
- Familiarity with core business practices outside of IT
- Executive relationship management experience with internal and external stakeholders
- Must have expertise in complex business and technical processes and their implications across the enterprise.
- Must have expertise in project management disciplines/protocols.
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Commitment to professional development and staying current in a changing IT landscape
- Technology familiarity with Cloud, client-server, web services, content management and internet, network components - load balancing, routers, firewalls
- Understanding of ITIL methodology with emphasis on ITSM
