Description

The Broadway Business Improvement Districts (BBID) mission is to support an eclectic business district by offering a unique experience through integration of community, culture, and commerce.

The BBID is in its 37th year of animating and promoting Saskatoons beloved, historic, and contemporary commercial district to local visitors and tourists. The BBID supports over 150 independent merchants in the district.

The BBID is dedicated to creating a strong sense of community and vibrancy that brings people together and attracts visitors.

Responsibilities:
-Assisting in the planning, marketing and delivery of major community based events on Broadway Ave including the Broadway Street Fair, Walk of Stars Presentations, etc. The candidate will contribute to the overall development of this vibrant business and entertainment district through working with a team.
-Liaison with businesses and vendors regarding sign up, rental needs, set up location and other questions they may have.
-Designing and creating communication materials including internal and external promotional materials, social media posts, emails, newsletters, and website content to assist in marketing the Broadway area.
-Perform general administrative duties.
-Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

-Strong interpersonal skills allowing the candidate to enjoy working with multiple stakeholder groups on several different projects simultaneously.
-Self-motivated.
-Must possess strong oral and written communication abilities, formidable organizational skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
-Photography, video editing and/or graphic design skills a plus.
-Ability to meet deadlines confidently.
