The Children's Summer Program Coordinator (SPL) will be responsible for coordinating and incorporating daily cultural, social, and educational activities into an 8 week summer program for newcomer children ages 6-12.
The SPL will be expected to introduce a wide variety of cultural, social, physical and educational activities to children and teach them about life in Canada.
The SPL will also be responsible for overseeing and supervising the program as a whole including up to 4 paid staff and and a few volunteers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with children
A passion for newcomers children and their families
Great communication skills
Program planning and organizing
Experience working with program budgets
Ability to supervise children and staff and be patient
CPR & first aid training a must
Criminal record check required
Valid class 5 driver's license with no restrictions in the last 2 years required.
