Description

The Building superintendent (BS) is responsible to provide efficient and effective care taking support to the facility units, including ensuring the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas.

Duties:
The main focus for this position is to do daily checks of the facility which includes proper operation of all doors, mechanical equipment including makeup air units and lighting systems etc.
To perform repairs as needed

To prioritize work to complete assignments in a timely manner. Supervise over workers.

To abide by Occupational Health and Safety and to observe Safe Work Practices and Safe Job Procedures in carrying out required duties

To keep track of receipts for items purchased for each job, obtaining separate receipts per job when possible.

To promptly return all excess materials to suppliers for credit/refund and provide documentation to the office.

Uses facility equipment in a safe responsible and proper manner.
Conducts light maintenance duties to equipment and assets to ensure longevity.

You will ensure adherence to security systems and check fire alarm systems on a regular basis.
To perform other duties as directed.
