Description

Consider your application for the permanent Policy Analyst position in our Community Wellbeing department with the City of Regina!

This position is responsible for providing professional services, such as leading, developing, and facilitating the development of policies, strategies, and plans, within certain areas of expertise, including public policy, policy development, community development, community safety and well-being, homelessness, and other social issues.

This position conducts multi-disciplinary research and statistical and trend analysis to ensure recommendations are consistent with strategic plans, division, department, and branch business plans and budgets, as well as public policy priorities and bylaws.

This position will provide timely and relevant information to the Department and Branches for the purposes of planning effectively in response to addressing public policy issues and providing both internal and external customers with high quality, current information on business development, demographic, legal perspectives, and policy changes.  This position will also support performance management measures in addition to target setting and outcome measures for both policies and joint research initiatives.

The work requires the employee to exercise judgement, initiative, and creativity.  The nature of the work involves and requires a significant degree of independence, although the work is performed within the broad parameters and guidelines of City of Regina regulations, standards, and policies.
