As a member of the technical services team, you will report to the senior project manager, technical products. You will be part of the direct hands-on execution of the capital equipment program across our Saskatchewan northern sites. We are looking for a strong and dynamic individual to ensure all aspects of project planning and execution meets the established requirements with respect to budget, schedule, scope, quality, health, safety, and environment. You will manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, identify and secure resources, report on project status to management, facilitate solutions, manage project risk, and promote a culture consistent with Cameco values.
Requirements of the position:
- Diploma or bachelors degree in engineer or interprovincial journeyperson ticket would be considered.
- A minimum of six years of combined work experience in mechanical equipment/project management roles in a mining, manufacturing, or industrial setting
- A combination of education and relevant experience with equipment, equipment rebuilds and/or equipment manufacturing projects would be consideredAbility to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, build trust and maintain positive relationships with a wide variety of personnel
- Project Management Certification (PMP), with experience within the mechanical equipment field (Equipment planning/scoping/management of projects)
- Frequent travel to our sites will be required during active project planning and execution
Assets:
- Experience in an underground mining environment (Maintenance Planning background)
- Valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson certification or a technical diploma in a related discipline is considered an asset
- Experience in technical field or trades with extensive project / construction management focus
- Experienced with Microsoft Office, MS Project and SAP or equivalent systems
- Six Sigma and understanding equipment reliability
