2-SEASONAL FULL TIME DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL SASKATOON
(1) 35 hours per week for 8 weeks & (1) 35 hours per week for 10 weeks.
The Seasonal Direct Support Professional provides services to the people supported by Christian Horizons in the absence of the regularly scheduled Direct Support Professional. The Seasonal Direct Support Professional assists with activities of daily living and promotes the implementation of person-centered plans. They work in cooperation with their work team and complete administrative duties as assigned. They seek to promote Christian Horizons Service Principles by enhancing relationships, promoting citizenship, valuing peoples gifts, recognizing self-determination, encouraging growth and development, and recognizing the need for holistic supports in a manner that considers each persons intrinsic value.
Requirements: Funded through Service Canada, the successful applicant will work 35 hours a week for 8 weeks, varying shifts. Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check, Access to reliable transportation.
Preferred:  0-3 Months Experience, Current enrolment or recent graduation from Human Services Field including: Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field
