Seeking to hire a full time Heavy Duty Mechanic.
Responsibilities and work duties will include, but will not be limited to:
Performing preventative maintenance and repairs to Torrents fleet of heavy equipment (consisting of excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, skidsteers, packers/rollers, scrapers, tractors, semi trucks and trailers)
Maintain vehicle fleet pickup trucks and small engine equipment (generators, light tower plants,
Inspect, diagnose, repair, adjust, overhaul, re-assemble, test the above mentioned equipment.
Source and order required parts for repairs
Complete maintenance/repairs records
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications and Requirements:
Licensed red seal technician is preferred but technicians with applicable skills and experience are also desired
SGI Safety Certification would be an asset
Commitment to safe work practices
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Experience with CAT, John Deere, Hitachi, Komatsu, Volvo, Peterbilt, Western Star, Kenworth
Ability to work independently or as part of a team within a shop and field environment
Provide a minimum Class 5 Drivers license
Provide copies of current certifications
Welding an asset but not a necessity
Duties will mainly be carried out at Torrent's shop in Weyburn, SK. Travelling to field locations (jobsites) for repairs will also be needed.
