Job Description
Equipment Operators and Labourers are the foundation of our paving, base, and plant operations. The Seasonal Labourer/Operator is responsible for performing a variety of labour tasks including shovelling, raking, cleaning, traffic control, safely lifting objects up to 50lbs, and various other hands-on tasks.  The position may require equipment operation from time to time which may include operating compaction equipment, tractors, loaders, or skid steers (will train). We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Our ideal candidate will be in physically good condition, have strong communication skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment. This position follows a 10 and 4 work schedule and requires regular overtime and travel.

Qualifications
Minimum Class 5 Drivers License
Ability to lift 50lbs
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a team
Willingness to travel regularly and work regular overtime
Positive attitude & willingness to learn

Duties and Responsibilities
Perform a variety of labour tasks including raking, shovelling, and cleaning as directed by the Site Supervisor
Participate in daily safety Toolbox meetings
Assist with traffic control as directed by the Site Supervisor (will train)
Operate equipment in a safe and effective manner as per OHS regulations
Perform regular equipment/truck inspections and perform general maintenance
Strict adherence to the company safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Manual
