Are you passionate about the ECE profession? Southeast College is expanding our instructional team.
Located at Kahkewistahaw First Nation, the instructor will deliver curriculum for Year 1 of the ECE Diploma program.
Start date: August 10, 2023
End date: May 10, 2024
Total Contract Days: 178-187
Responsibilities:
- Instruct the ECE curriculum as outlined by Saskatchewan Polytechnic
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback
- Maintain a classroom environment conducive to adult learning
- Meet with practicum host site managers
- Proactively develop and deliver standard-aligned content for blended and/or virtual delivery learning. This includes but is not limited to tracking students learning paths and monitoring content engagement metrics as well as leveraging this actionable data and proven teaching practices to fulfill learner goals.
- Optimize the use of blended learning environments
- Administration duties including printing/accessing, administering and correcting student exams; monitoring and recording attendance; tabulating/submitting marks; maintenance of all program marks for student body

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Education with major in Early Childhood Education or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Two years recent, relevant experience working in an Early Learning and Childcare Education setting as an Early Childhood Educator/Teacher/ECE Instructor.
- Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
- Functional knowledge of Learning Management Systems for instructional purposes.
