Looking for an experienced payroll administrator for a permanent full time position. This position will be responsible for processing payroll and administering HR. This role is the first point of contact for our employees and we need to be sure they are treated with compassion, respect and understanding.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process payroll, ensure accurate and timely
processing of payroll and monthly benefits
- Administer benefits packages
- Process Records of Employment as required
- Assist in all payroll related job duties
- Prepare year end files as required, T4s and related
filings
- Onboarding/Offboarding employees
- Assist with recruitment
- Other adhoc duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Canadian Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP)
designation, working towards it or ready to start
the program.
- Completion of post-secondary education with focus on
payroll
- Recent payroll experience
- Familiar with Canadian Labour Standards
- Experience working with Ceridian and Wage Point are
beneficial
- Experience with onboarding, recruitment and managing
employee files
- Must have good MS Office skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Organized and detail orientated
