Summer Student JobHours of work: 35 hours per week. Various shifts (daytime, evening, overnight)
Length of Placement: 8 Weeks. Temporary from June 26, 2023 to August 18, 2023. Possibility of extension.
Position Description: The Emergency Shelter Worker provides safe shelter and support for women and their children leaving situations of abuse or domestic violence. This job position is funded by Canada Summer Jobs for youth aged 15-30 years of age.

- Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services
- Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs
- Develop, coordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community
- Resolve conflict situations
- Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
- Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research
