AUTOMOTIVE ACCOUNTANT - CONTROLLER
Due to an upcoming retirement, WESTERN DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP is currently hiring for the position of Automotive Controller. This position is an important part of the management team within the dealership and requires a committed, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with others in an office environment. This is an excellent opportunity to continue your accounting career at an established business in Moose Jaw that has been in operation for close to 60 years. The position is available immediately.
Responsibilities:
-Day to day leadership of the accounting team for your dealership.
-Responsible for the accuracy of the monthly accounting data.
-Prepare all monthly financial statements.
-Analyze statements and reports to highlight areas of concern.
-Oversee HR functions and documentation requirements.
-Oversee and manage the Company's Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables.
-Prepare year end documentation for External Audit.
-Handle monthly payroll remittances for all Company employees.
-Maintenance and review of all accounts and schedules monthly to ensure accuracy.
-Prepare all necessary monthly accruals and adjustments.
-Manage dealership accounting system and assist in overseeing IT functions at the dealership.
Qualifications:
-5 plus years of experience in the automotive industry or a closely related field.
-Proven ability to work within a team environment.
-A commitment to the highest level of customer service.
-Working knowledge of payroll and related taxes.
-Exceptional people and communication skills.
-A professional Accounting Designation is preferred for this role.
