Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to adapt to changing conditions
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Advanced assessment skills
Advanced communication skills
Advanced interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of the RAI-HC Assessment Tool

Required Qualifications cont.
3-5 years experience with palliative care clients.
Palliative care medical intensive course from Victoria Hospice or equivalent; would be willing to obtain this necessary training within a 2 year timeframe.

This is a designated field hours position.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A vulnerable sector check (VSC) is required for individuals providing patient/resident/client care to vulnerable persons. Internal candidates may be required to provide a CRC and/or VSC during the recruitment and selection process.

Hours of Work: In a 6 week rotation: 21 shifts of 8.00 hours
