The City of Swift Current is inviting applications for the position of Labourer at Kinetic Park within the Community Services Division. This is a non-permanent, casual position scheduled to work daytime, evening, weekend or holiday shifts. There is no minimum guarantee of hours as shifts are dependent on the operational needs of Kinetic Park.

Under the direction of the Kinetic Park Superintendent, this employee will be responsible for event set-up, sporting activity set-up and janitorial duties within the Stockade and Palliser Pavilion buildings. In the spring and summer, this position is also responsible for maintenance of Kinetic Park, green spaces, campgrounds, rodeo arenas, Docs Town and the racetrack. Shoveling snow is required during the winter months.

Basic Requirements:
Completion of Grade 12 Diploma, or equivalent;
Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Motor Vehicle Operators License;
Willing to become Safe Places  Community Certified;
Ability to perform outside physical labour;
Ability to operate hand tools and small powered equipment such as circular saws, chain saws, and drills, required for building and grounds maintenance;
Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and possess initiative with respect to duties and responsibilities; and
Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public.
