Description

The Town of Rouleau is currently seeking the services of a Regional/Contract Class 2 Water Treatment Operator. The Town has a new Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant that became operational in September 2022, requiring a Class 2 Water Treatment Operator.  
This contract position will require the time necessary to complete the duties as listed.
The duties will be as follows:
daily operation and maintenance of the Water Treatment Plant
treatment processes along with detailed sampling, monitoring and analysis of water are being conducted in compliance with Saskatchewan Water Security Agency regulations
all required reports are being submitted in accordance with the regulations and acts
ensure that all water treatment complies with the Permits to Operate and Drinking Water Quality Management guidelines
analyze test results and instrument readings when on site  
ensure that plant logs and reports are being completed and maintained
ensure that Samples are being sent to the Provincial Lab as per the requirements of the Permit
monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect possible equipment malfunctions and/or ensure plant systems are operating normally
assess water treatment processes and adjust as necessary for optimal performance; record adjusted processes and equipment performance
oversee inventory of parts and materials necessary to support perpetual operation and maintenance of the treatment plant
ensure that WTP alarm call-outs are monitored, responded to and controlled actions are taken
be available by phone daily and/or on site for emergencies and ensure back-up is available for vacation, illness, etc.  
document weekly visits ie: purpose, concerns, state remedial action if needed, date/time and length of each visit.
be on site for EPO and/or other inspections/visits.
daily reporting to the Town of Rouleau Administrator and monthly reporting to the Town of Rouleau Council.
