Gingerbread Nursery School is looking for an energetic and engaging teachers assistant to work Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30am-4:00pm starting August 29, 2023

Gingerbread Nursery School has been providing preschool education for three and four year olds for over thirty-five years. Our program is designed to help each child achieve early learning success. We focus on developing social skills and language development, as well as building phonemic awareness and numeracy skills. Our engaging, play-based program nurtures every childs love of learning for a strong start to kindergarten and beyond.

The ideal candidate will:
-have ECE training or experience working in an early childhood setting
-experience working with children under five.
-be able to take initiative to identify and meet student needs
-have excellent oral communication skills
-enjoy working as part of a team
-will be able to follow and carry out directions
-provide a current and clear criminal record check

Necessary skills:

Job Duties:
-Assist classroom teachers during class routine
-Assist in maintaining classroom space
-Assist in the preparation of craft materials
-Stepping in to fill necessary roles during class time

Required: Criminal Record Check with clear vulnerable sector check

Start date: August 29, 2023
Part-time: Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30am-4:00pm
*Daily start and end time can be somewhat flexible
