Description

Prairie Harm Reduction is seeking an individual passionate about harm reduction to join our management team as Support Services Coordinator. This position works closely with the Director of Support Services to oversee the management of our Drop-In Centre, Safe Consumption Site and Case Management team. Work hours are Monday to Friday but flexibility is required to support programs outside of traditional hours when needed. All management team members are required to fulfill duties on a on call rotation providing support to programs 1 weekend every 4 weeks.
Duties include:
- maintain and strengthen an understanding of department programs and services
- work with all department staff and the Director of Support Services to ensure all programs are operating efficiently
- provide leadership support to all department staff
- maintain, strengthen, and develop new relationships with community resources that contribute to the quality of life for people in our community and keep in line with PHR's mission and values
- facilitate growth and development of department staff
- work with department staff to provide harm reduction based supports to people in our community focusing on people who use substance, people experiencing homelessness and people living and affected by HIV and Hepatitis C
- ensure department documentation is kept up to date
- work with Director of Support Services to ensure that all program reporting is completed on time and as required by program funders
- participate in organizational and community events
- work with Director of Support Services to oversee all scheduling, payroll submissions and HR management for department
- keep accurate records of all organizational and departmental documentation
- ensure that daily operations are in line with agencies policies and procedures
