Description

The Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. - EGADZ requires an Outreach Worker and individual interested in Full Time shifts for Baby Steps Outreach within EGADZ.
(Shift Work Is Involved - Evenings/Weekends)

EGADZ is an inter-agency, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide services for hard to serve youth in Saskatoon with the mission to encourage and support them to make choices that improve their quality of life.

Baby Steps is a community-based approach that supports our young mothers in reaching positive outcomes for themselves and their children. Baby Steps is a program designed to empower young mothers to learn, grow and become independent parents.

The ideal candidates are non-judgmental, compassionate and are able to build trusting relationships with clients.

Qualifications:
    Post-secondary education in the human services field, equivalent experience or a combination of both
    Demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with youth, staff and partnering agencies and maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate boundaries
    Knowledge of other agencies and resources within our community
    Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form
    Working knowledge of computers/windows
    Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and issues
    Must have a valid drivers license that reflects a safe driving record - A Driver's Abstract is Required (Within 3 Months).
    Criminal Records Check including Vulnerable Sector (Within 6 Months)
    Ability to work shift work is a must-days/evenings/nights as well as weekends

Starting Wage $20.77
