Job Description: Labour Relations (LR) is a Community of Expertise (CoE) in part of an overall Partnership Model created to provide superior strategic cross-functional advice, analysis, support, guidance and resolution on a range of LR related matters. The Labour Relations Specialist functions as a key team member in the CoE. The Specialist is accountable for building and maintaining effective relationships and partnerships in a complex labour relations environment. Effective relationships are needed with union partners, operational leaders, other communities of expertise and Human Resources Business Partners. A key role is to provide consultative labour relations advice on the interpretation and application of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA's) and legislation to staff at all levels of the organization. The incumbent will research and analyze facts, trends and statistical data in order to make recommendations and provide strategic advice as it relates to resolving labour relations issues and concerns that affect the organization. The Specialist will be the lead investigator on workplace matters. As a lead investigator they will gather information, conduct investigation interviews, analyze all information and determine the findings of fact. After concluding the investigation, the Specialist will provide a recommendation to operational leaders on the next steps including appropriate levels of discipline.
Required Qualifications

Licensed and in good standing with professional association and/or regulatory body, if applicable
Registered or eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body
Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law or equivalent combinations of education and experie
