Description

Yorkton Tribal Council invites applications for the position of Adult Reintegration Worker. Reporting to the Director of Justice, the Reintegration Worker is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with Clients, Correction Service of Canada, Community Justice Development Workers and communities. The successful candidate will initiate client contact with adults under Section 84 of Corrections Canada once it has been determined that a referral is appropriate.

Duties:
    Client assessment,
    Establishing connections to home communities,
    Case planning,
    Implementing cultural and recreational programming and working in conjunction with the correction liaison workers to identify areas of need for the clients, victims, family and community.
    Position will allow for flexible work hours to accommodate evening activities including client transportation and travel to surrounding communities.

Qualifications:
    Undergraduate degree in human justice or social work and two years working in the healing profession or restorative justice initiatives with adults. However, a combination of education and experience will also be considered;
    Knowledge and understanding of the Canadian and Provincial Justice systems and First Nations Justice developments;
    Experience working with First Nations and familiarity of customs, culture and traditions;
    Ability to establish connection to service organizations for provision of support mechanisms for clients and family;
    Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills;
    Punctual and dependable with an ability to work in a confidential environment;
    Able to handle multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision;
    Proficient knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and data entry;
    Must possess and maintain valid drivers license and own vehicle.
