Facility: AMBULANCE - HUDSON BAY/PORCUPINE PLAIN
Job Description: This is a Regional position for SHA (Kelsey Trail) services in Hudson Bay and Porcupine Plain with home base in Hudson Bay.

The Primary Care Paramedic reports to the Manager of Emergency Medical Services and when on site in a facility to the Coordinators.
Required Qualifications

Clean Driver's Abstract
CMA Accredited Pre-Hospital Care Program at the Primary Care Paramedic (PCP/EMT) level
Health Care Provider Level C Certification (HCP-C)
International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) - Basic
Registered with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics as a Primary Care Paramedic with 2011 National Occupational Competency Profile (NOCP) standards
Valid Class 4 drivers license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with clients from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
Communication skills
Interpersonal skills
Other Information

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
Wherever possible, the employer will endeavour to ensure on-call assignments do not exceed 300 hours in a three-week period

PCP applicants must be at the 2011 NOCP level, or be willing to obtain within six (6) months.
