Timber Bay School in Timber Bay, Saskatchewan is a designated K-9 school with approximately 20 students, a professional staff complement of 2, para-professional support, and a half-time secretary. Timber Bay is located an hour and a half north of Prince Albert.
Desirable qualities for this principal-teacher position include:
minimum of five years of successful teaching experience.
strong instructional leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.
willingness to work co-operatively and positively with the parents and community.
familiarity and experience with northern issues.
This is a replacement full-time teaching position to start August 29, 2023 until June 27, 2024. The successful candidate must be eligible for Saskatchewan Professional A or Provisional Professional A teaching certification. Applicants with a minimum of 5 years of school-based administrative experience and/or post-graduate training in educational administration or curriculum studies may be given preference.
Salary is according to the provincial grid plus a benefits package that includes subsidized, furnished housing, a principals allowance, and a northern living allowance. Moving assistance may also be available.
