Description

The Rural Municipality of Garden River #490, is currently seeking an individual for an Equipment Operator position for the 2023 season.  Applicants must be willing to work weekdays, weekends and evenings as required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
    Operate and service various equipment and attachments.  Such as, but not limited to: graders, tractors, mowers and excavators;
    Gravel reclamation, rock picking, installation of culverts and minor road construction;
    Sign and post installation;
    Complete daily log and pre-op inspections and follow safety procedures;
    Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish effective working relationships with coworkers, council, administration, contractors, and rate payers;
    Other duties as assigned by the Foreman or Administrator.

The Successful Applicant Should Possess:
    Experience in maintenance and operation of heavy equipment;
    Class 1A or 3A drivers license is an asset;
    Applicants must have the ability to manage and organize daily duties; and work with minimal supervision as required;
    Great communication and documentation skills;
    Valid drivers license
