As we continue to grow and thrive in the industry, we are now looking for a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing our full accounting cycle, which includes financial forecasting, analysis, and strategic planning. This individual will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Oversee the company's full accounting cycle, including journal entries, month-end close, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and balance sheet reconciliation.
2.Prepare financial forecasts and analyze financial data to assist with decision-making processes.
3.Ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
4.Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
5.Assist with preparation of budgets and financial reports.
6.Coordinate with external auditors during annual audit.
7.Provide recommendations to improve financial performance and reduce costs.
8.Maintain relationships with financial service providers.
9.Mentor and develop junior accounting staff.
