Description

HMCS Queen, Regina's Naval Reserve Division of the Royal Canadian Navy, is now recruiting a variety of part time trades with excellent salary and benefits. We offer the public an opportunity to gain military service on a part-time basis while retaining their civilian careers. Students who become active members are eligible for additional high school credits and/ or Post Secondary education tuition reimbursement of up to $8000 by the end of their education program.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements: 16-56 Years of age, minimum education: grade 10 or enrolled in a university degree program (occupation pending), and Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

Part-time Employment: During the school year, part time employment is every other Saturday and Thursday evenings. additional opportunities include special events (Remembrance Day Ceremony, local small boat exercises, and recruiting events).

Full-Time Opportunities: The summer months are primarily when full time employment opportunities are offered. First 3 Summers are mandatory to complete basic military training and occupation training as your means of employment. Employment could take you to BC, ON, QC, NS pending on your training requirements. More adventurous opportunities would include sailing and participating in international exercises such as RIMPAC (held in Hawaii and/or San Diego). Other sailing opportunities would include patrols in the Atlantic and Pacific, and deploying for operations in the Arctic, Caribbean, Asia-Pacific region, Arabian Sea, Mediterranean Sea. Trades available: we offer 13 different occupations ranging from professional sailors, intelligence analyst, warehouse and supply procurement, human resource and finance, food services, IT and networking, to management.
