Description

Duties:
Manage PDM Analyst(s) by providing daily direction, defining work processes, work instructions and validating accuracy and completeness of data
Identify growth and training opportunities for staff development
Responsible for processing all information released by engineering which includes Item Master Definitions, Engineering BOMs, Routings, Engineering Change Information
Maintain entire Item Master list including: Item group, item type, make vs. buy, etc.; Scrap factor based on Manufacturing recommendations; Product Cost
Maintain all BOMs, including: Accuracy of routings; Managing effectivity dates; Coordinate with Engineering and Manufacturing departments to ensure that manufacturing materials are incorporated into BOMs; Creation of manufacturing drawings, picklists, etc. for shipping and purchasing configurations; Define Manufacturing BOMs and Routings for each Manufacturing Plant
Implement Engineering Change Information on the appropriate Manufacturing Items and BOMs in a timely and accurate manner
Work with cost accounting to ensure accurate costs of BOM and Labor
Develop, maintain, and document standardized routing processes and templates for standard production processes

Required Skills:
Experience in a variety of manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining, laser/plasma, weld, assembly, paint etc.) and production planning
Experience working with Item Master, BOM, Routings and Engineering Change Data in an ERP system is required
Previous management or supervisory skills preferred
Excellent organization and team collaboration skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills especially as it pertains to supporting remote manufacturing operations.
APICS CPIM certification would be considered an asset
Mechanical technologist diploma or engineering degree
Minimum of 5 years of design or manufacturing engineering experience
