Description

The Ochapowace Nation is building the Family Wellness Department to lead our Ochapowace members to a holistic and culturally driven model of healing. The Director of Family Wellness will work closely with the Executive Director of Operations and provide updated reports of the Family Wellness Department. The Director of Family Wellness will be responsible for all development, implementation, and oversight of programming that supports the Ochapowace citizens.

Core Responsibilities
Develop and implement Prevention and Family Wellness programming based on community needs assessments and evidence-based research.
Collaborate with consultants, organizations, stakeholders, and Ochapowace leadership.
Advocate and liaise for Ochapowace citizens.
Engage with community ktyak to develop Prevention and Family Wellness programs.
Deescalate high emotional situations with staff and community members as it arises.
Provide presentations to leadership, citizens, and stakeholders.
Other related duties as requested by the Executive Director of Operations.

Administrative Responsibilities
Ensure all reporting requirements for submission to relevant authorities are completed timely.
Coordinate with the executive team in planning, budgeting, and reporting.
Develop, implement, review, and revise Prevention and Family Wellness policies and procedures in a timely manner.
Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector/Criminal Record Check.
Must be able to pass a prohibited drug test.
