The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan (FCAA) protects consumers and the public interest and supports economic well-being through responsive marketplace regulation. The Securities Division of the FCAA protects investors by regulating the sale of securities and derivatives in Saskatchewan.
The FCAA is seeking a highly motivated person with a strong interest in the enforcement of securities and derivatives laws. As Director, Enforcement, you will manage and direct the activities of the Enforcement Branch in the Securities Division. The Branch investigates complaints of breaches of securities and derivatives laws, evaluates those complaints, and recommends enforcement actions. The Enforcement Branch also works closely with the Legal Branch in the Securities Division in carrying out enforcement proceedings.
Our ideal team member will have experience and training with a law enforcement agency at a senior investigative level or a degree in law, commerce, business administration or related area. Completion of the Canadian Securities Course would be an asset. You will also have demonstrated knowledge of:
- the Canadian Criminal Code procedure and practice;
the rules of evidence and court procedures;
- civil and administrative law; and
- the securities and derivatives industry.
As a condition of employment, you will be required to complete the Exempt Market Products Course.
