Job Description: GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Working under the general direction of the Manager of Rehabilitation Services, the staff MHT is responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of programs and modules appropriate to the assessed needs of patients referred to the Therapies program.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
Provides therapy to patients by:
1) Developing and administering formal assessment tools.
2) Developing and delivering treatment plans based on the assessed needs.
3) Reassessing, recording and reporting at regular intervals and as required.
4) Participating in ongoing program evaluations to determine quality and effectiveness.
5) Serving as a member of the various treatment teams.

Maintains and ensures effective treatment programs and modules by:
1) Directing and assigning therapy assistant staff, students and volunteers involved in the delivery of treatment plans.
2) Assisting with budget submissions, inventory and stock control.
3) Designing and developing new treatment and/or education modules.
4) Monitoring ongoing effectiveness of various program modules through continual assessment of patient outcomes and program evaluations.
Participates in the development and delivery of cooperative programming
Contributes to the overall functioning of the agency by:
1) Providing in-service as required.
2) Maintaining positive cooperative working relationships with other agencies/departments.
3) Sitting on various committees as necessary.
4) Participating in and contributing to Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Behavior Management - weekly consult with team; develop management plans
Patient conflict - immediate intervention verbal and physical; counsel; reassess and review treatment plan; refer to team.
