The Strategic Systems and Innovation Branch manages the use of information management and technology (IM/IT) for both the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General and the Ministry of Corrections, Policing, and Public. We are a fast-paced, vibrant group of individuals supporting the increasingly dynamic nature of program delivery in the public sector.
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager for an initial one-year term to manage an ongoing project led by the Courts and Community Justice Division in the Ministry of Justice. The project will be of interest to an individual with a strong background in project management, excellent organizational and communication skills, and who thrives on playing a leadership role in the delivery of critical projects.
The Court and Community Justice Division is responsible for supporting the administrative operations of the courts in the province.
The project in question is the expansion of video conferencing technology used to convene court and to conduct client/counsel interviews in advance of a court proceeding. This expansion effort will install new video suites in correctional centres RCMP detachments/detention centres throughout the province.
Typically, the knowledge, skills and abilities required to be successful in this position would have been obtained through:
- Current certification in Project Management.
- Demonstrated experience as a practicing Senior Project Manager in large/complex programs and/or projects; and
- Demonstrated managerial experience.
Experience working within justice or human services, familiarity with the Government of Saskatchewan, or a comparable entity, technical and business landscape is considered an asset.
