REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is a member the Saskatoon & Region Home Builders Association team. All team members have a part to play in the delivery of the Associations strategic plan.
HOURS OF WORK
Salaried, full-time (37.5 hours a week), Monday to Friday.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Successful completion of a Certified Professional Accounting designation
-Minimum of three years of experience in similar roles
-Experience in an association or not for profit environment considered an asset
-Commitment to quality service and continual improvement
-Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information
The areas of responsibility
-Prepare and format monthly and annual financial reports
-Prepare financial information for the audit & finance committee as well as for the Board of Directors meetings
-Coordinate the annual audit with external auditors and prepare year-end schedules, lead sheets and working papers
-Assist with preparation of budgets in collaboration with the CEO and for special projects
-Prepare bank reconciliations with cheque requisitions
-Manage and coordinate all accounts receivable records and required follow-ups
-Manage and coordinate all accounts payable records and obtain appropriate approvals
-Prepare and file GST quarterly returns
-Coordinate and complete payroll and manage related files
- Provide office and administrative support
- Manage security codes, passwords, keys, mail, couriers, phones.
- Maintain records and all confidential and legal files accordingly.
- Prepare, maintain and implement operational and governance (with CEO) policies as required.
- Prepare and collate Board of Director Meeting packages.
- Attend Board of Director Meetings and committee meetings to take minutes and/or provide any clarification on Financial reports.
