Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking accounting candidates for a role with a top client of ours in the commercial construction field. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day to day accounting support in within our clients accounting team at their Regina Branch. The ideal candidate will be well versed in full cycle accounting, possess a post-secondary degree or diplo in a related field and preferably possess at least 2 years of firsthand professional accounting experience in the construction industry.

Job Duties Include:

Completing full cycle accounting process, including preparation of monthly billings, accounts receivable collection, invoice & journal entry, ledger reconciliations, cash flow management and profit recognition.
Participation in monthly forecast review meetings
Support assembly and preparation of information for internal/external financial reporting requirements.
Strategically identify irregularities or risk exposure and supporting the development of a strategy to address them.
Thoroughly interpret trade partner documentation for accounting related items and following established accounting procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Postsecondary degree or diploma in accounting or related field.
Active pursuit of accounting designation considered an asset
2-5 years of accounting experience in construction or related industry is preferred
Understanding of full-cycle accounting, project forecasting and budgeting.
Knowledge of government legislation and generally accepted accounting principles.
Established understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software
