Description

The YMCA of Regina is an Imagine Canada accredited non-profit charity that is open to all, dedicated to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. As the premiere values-based builder of health, leadership and personal development in the city of Regina, we focus our program delivery on our three pillars of service: health and fitness, community development, and childcare.

The YMCA of Regina Youth Program staff work to provide children and youth with positive opportunities supporting social development, personal development, health and well-being. Recreational and instructional youth and preschool programs include Child Minding, physical literacy, sport, science and art. We are currently looking for candidates with dedication, passion and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:
* Provide a safe and supportive environment for children and youth to grow and develop, through effective supervision, coaching, and mentoring.  
* Engage with program participants and encourage active participation, skills develop, and promote enjoyment.
* Coordinate supply of materials and prepare activities in advance of program sessions.
* Communicate with parents as needed.
* Adhere to all health and safety measures as set by the YMCA of Regina.

Requirements:
* The successful candidate will exhibit a high level of organizational aptitude and creativity.
* Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to effectively manage groups through strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Criminal Record Check (CRC) including vulnerable sector check, dated within 3 months of hire.

The primary shift would be Monday-Friday from 9:00am-1:30pm.
