Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager of Nursing Practice and Education, the Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for ensuring all work is in alignment with the organization's missions, goals, values, and strategic plans to promote high quality, safe client care. This is accomplished by assisting in establishing and maintaining best practice; assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating unit orientation, in-servicing and other educational programming; assessing learning needs; acting as a clinical resource; promoting client and family centered care; participating in committee work as assigned; participating in continuous improvement activities; developing and maintaining client and staff resources. The CNE will function as a member of the interprofessional clinical team to promote effective delivery of client care in the SHR, including regular direct communication and input from the unit Manager(s) of Nursing.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Certificate
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Instructor Certificate
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Experience
Three years recent full-time experience in neonatal intensive care nursing including recent experience at all levels up to and including charge nurse. Previous nursing education experience preferred.

Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
