Job Description: Under the direction of the Senior Psychologist of the Alvin Buckwold Child Development Program the incumbent will provide psychological services to children from birth to 18 years of age, and to their families.  He or she will work with interdisciplinary teams to provide assessment and intervention services to children who have or are at risk for developmental disabilities.  The primary role of psychologists within the centre is assessment and diagnosis.  A lesser portion of time is spent in behavior consultation, education, and psychological intervention.  The Phd Psychologist will also provide research and program evaluation services.
Required Qualifications

Ability to travel including overnight stays.
CPR certification - level B
PhD in Clinical Psychology
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
Experience
Experience working with children with developmental delays along with demonstrated ability to administer standardized tests, to apply psychometric theory and knowledge of cognitive constructs, to interpretation of psychological tests, and to test children with a variety of developmental disabilities.  
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Advanced communication skills
Knowledge of, and ability to apply, theory and practice surrounding educational interventions for children within the classroom setting, both in terms of common, everyday practice and those practices that might be used for children with special needs.
