United Way of Saskatoon & Area is posting this job ad on behalf of The Saskatoon Community Service Village.
The Village Director is responsible for the successful leadership of the Saskatoon Community Service Village consistent with its mission and vision. This is a multi-faceted role that is responsible for general operations, financial management, communications, and collaborates with the CEOs/Executive Directors of the Village member agencies.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
-Responsible for the general operations and daily management of the Village.
-Manages the Village finances, including budget preparation and management, handling invoicing and receipts, approving expenditures, assisting with audit, and managing the financial obligations of the organization. Operates within the approved budget and within financial guidelines and policies.
-Creates and updates Village operating policies.
-Responsible for coordinating maintenance of the facility; ensures furniture and equipment is appropriate for the needs of the Village.
-Participates with the Board in strategic planning.
-Supports the Board of Directors and ensures that decisions are operationally interpreted and implemented according to policy.
-Represent the Village on appropriate committees, networks and joint projects.
-Liaises with and support the leadership of the Village member agencies with areas of concern pertaining to the Village as well as collaborative initiatives between agencies.
-Coordinates schedule and bookings of the Villages shared spaces/meeting rooms for internal use and external rentals and provides customer service to individuals and groups visiting the Village.
-Initiates, builds relationships, and communicates with a broad range of community organizations, sectors, and donors.
-Develops and maintains relationships with funding sources and prepare funding proposals.
