Description

Ahtahkakohp School is a Pre-k to grade 12 educational institution located on the Ahtahkakohp Cree Nation in north central Saskatchewan (Canwood, SK).  
The Ahtahkakohp Cree Nation is seeking a Full Time Vice-Principal. The Vice-Principal alongside the Principal will provide leadership and administration to our school Staff and Students in a manner that supports their continuing education and professional growth.  
Requirements and Skills:
Effective interpersonal and communication skills;
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
Maintain an educational philosophy and environment which encourages an inclusive and welcoming attitude on behalf of all teachers and students;
Establish, maintain and enforce rules for classroom conduct and behaviour;
Maintain effective communication to staff, student, parents, and community;
A teaching philosophy that reflects an effective and cooperative learning approach;
Ability to work effectively within an environment which includes developing meaningful and productive relationships with students, parents, professionals and community service agencies;
Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students needs and progress;
Observe and evaluate students performance, behaviours, social development, and physical health;
Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops;
Perform administrative duties and sponsor extracurricular activities
Supervise both professional and support staff
Conduct performance evaluations on staff
Demonstrated ability to connect with children in a student-centered learning environment in addition to having an interest or willingness to connect with students outside of the classroom;
Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, and extra-curricular activities
Review or authorize all School staff requests for instructional materials and equipment within the years budget
