SIGN Rapid Access Counselling Clinic is seeking a qualified professional to provide children, youth and caregivers family focused brief intervention counseling services. This position includes duties related to clinical service delivery, management of programs, staff and community collaboration. The successful candidate will ensure the implementation of SIGNs Rapid Access Counselling to Children, Youth and Their Caregivers and the oversight of both the Rapid Access and the Child and Youth, Rapid Access Clinics.
Expectations:
Conduct initial assessments to determine the needs and goals of the children and youth with their families and caregivers
Provide evidence-based counselling services to children, youth, families and caregivers in individual, group and family settings
Develop service plans tailored to the unique needs of children and youth and their family
Provide coordination, peer support, oversight and management to the Rapid Access Clinic
Navigate consent with children, youth and their caregivers
Assess high risk and suicidal clients and intervene quickly and appropriately
Participate in organizational, team and community meetings
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
Graduate degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education Psychology or related discipline
Experience providing counselling to children, youth, families and caregivers
Experience with evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children and youth
Hold or eligible for a professional license or registration I.e. Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers
Clean criminal record and vulnerable sector check
