As a Box Office Customer Service Representative, you will be the face of the Centre, providing exceptional customer service to our valued patrons. Your main responsibility will be ticket sales, conducted through various channels such as window sales, telephone orders, and mail orders. Your friendly and efficient approach will ensure a seamless ticket purchasing experience for our customers, making their visit to our Centre truly memorable.
Job Knowledge:
To succeed in this role, you'll need to be comfortable following detailed but not complex procedural instructions, accurately recording ticket sales, and managing our ticketing system. Basic computer skills, familiarity with swipe machines, and telephone systems are also required. Don't worry if you don't have all the necessary skills yet, as we provide specific short-term practical training to set you up for success!
Communication Skills:
As a customer service representative, you will engage with the public on a daily basis. Excellent communication and listening skills are essential in this role. You'll have the opportunity to engage in lengthy dialogues, providing information about upcoming shows, show times, seating charts, and directions to the Centre. Some interactions may involve challenging situations, where your tact and courtesy will shine as you handle these individuals with professionalism and grace.
Problem Solving:
In this role, you will encounter various situations within the box office. Your problem-solving skills will come into play as you identify issues and work towards finding solutions using established procedures.
