We are looking for a student who is a collaborative team player who has excellent communication and organization skills to join our Safety, Health, Environment, Quality (SHEQ) & Regulatory Relations department. This role will be based in Saskatoon with possible travel to the northern Saskatchewan operations.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct research on various environmental topics and environmental regulations.
- Interpret and analyse environmental data while supporting regulatory and licensing initiatives.
- Be responsible for collecting high-quality data, interpreting laboratory analytical results, and preparing technical memos.
Required:
- You are entering your third or fourth year as a university student specializing in environmental sciences, environmental engineering, natural sciences or a related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered.
- The successful candidate must hold a valid drivers license.
Recommended:
- Proficiency with basic computer skills is required and some field experience is an asset.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, working independently with minimal supervision as well as within a team environment.
- Understanding of federal and provincial environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and organization skills are required.
