Job summary:
We are a favorite local grocery store in Saskatoon, offering a wide range Asian products from different culture including China, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea. We are currently hiring a shelf stocker. The successful candidate will be responsible for stocking shelves with merchandise, and filling mail and telephone orders.
Duties and responsibilities:
Pack and unpack merchandise received and sold at store,
Use barcode scanning equipment to record incoming stock, verify pricing, and maintain computerized stock inventory,
Price items and sale stickers as per pricelist,
Help and assist customers in finding merchandise and providing them with information,
Sort products and store them properly in the stockroom,
Stock shelves with merchandiser and products when stock is running low,
Attach protective devices to products to protect against shoplifting,
Load, unload, and move heavy, bulky products,
Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards (including backroom and shelves), and dispose of trash,
Fill warehouse orders,
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Completion of high school
Ability to perform tasks while bending, standing, climbing, and reaching.
Ability to carry up to 50lbs.
