KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working as a Journeyperson Millwright, you will be responsible to:
- Servicing, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and mining equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, agitators, fans, etc;
- Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions, diagnose equipment problems, and repair accordingly;
- Follow instructions precisely with the ability to carry out daily work instructions in a timely and efficient manner with limited supervision;
- Perform individual tasks and work effectively as part of the team to ensure productivity and efficiency;
- Finding creative solutions and effective problem solving of issues that arise;
- Communication and cohesive alignment with other departments in the mine;
- Maintain and support equipment records and repair history;
- Provide data for cause and failure analysis;
- Take part in planning and scheduling within the work system;
- Work safely and collaboratively as part of a crew.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be a successful candidate, you must possess:
- Journeyperson Certificate of Qualification from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship & Trade Certification Commission as a Journeyperson Millwright / Industrial Mechanic is preferred, fourth year apprentices will also be considered;
- Industrial/mining experience considered an asset;
- Valid First Aid/ CPR certificates;
- Valid WHMIS and SCOT;
- Ability to communicate effectively and constructively within a team environment. Good verbal and written communication;
- Computer experience required for recordkeeping and documentation;
- Commitment to safe work practices and achieved an excellent safety record;
- Possess a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
