On behalf of our client, EXPRESS EMPLOYMENT PROFESSIONALS is searching for a finishing carpenter.  This position is based on a standard 40-hour work week with added overtime as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
    Variety of finishing carpentry tasks for the completion of commercial construction projects
    Precise workmanship when required for installation of unique and custom architectural features
    Able to adapt to work with different materials:  wood, metal, stone, etc. to execute unique features
    Install wood and steel doors, wood and steel frames, windows, glass and glazing, wood finishes, backing and framing
    Depending on project timing, help with other areas of construction
    Able to provide direction/training to junior staff and labour
    Duties may vary depending on previous work experience
Qualifications and Skills:
    Journeyperson carpenter or equivalent experience
    5-10 years finishing carpenter or related experience
    Be in good health and physically fit
    Experience in wood framing and commercial
    Able to work at heights and balance on platforms, scaffolds and decks
    Able to work alone or as part of a team
    Display good verbal and written communication skills when working with other employees
    Hardworking and able to readily accept and apply direction from a supervisor
    Hand and finger dexterity for reaching, handling and feeling while working
    Able to regularly lift and move 30-pound objects during a shift
