We are looking for a skilled Millwright who has experience with industrial equipment operation and maintenance. We operate a safe and clean facility and consider it one of our top priorities. You will be working on various industrial sites both locally and in the shop so some travel may be involved with this position. The responsibility of the Millwright/Industrial Mechanic is to build and install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, engineered drawings, and other specifications as presented by the operations and engineering departments. This applies to in house and site work.
Required Skills:
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, etc.
- Have an excellent understanding of engineered drawings, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Dismantle, assemble and align industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications
- Demonstrate safe rigging practices, operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the assembly, installation, and repair of machinery
- Test and provide constructive feedback on existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment
- Troubleshooting Skills: Must be able to follow a problem to the source and solve the issue
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
Work in an environment where the products and jobs are continually changing
- Must have solid working knowledge of mechanical drives and assemblies
- Have an excellent understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as pumps and gearboxes
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Overtime may be required to get our customer up and running in a timely manner
