This person will be responsible for working on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance with all national and local procedures, regulations, and codes. Steel construction Laborer's  
Objectives of this role
Participate in all aspects of construction projects, from foundation to finish work
Utilize available resources to perform duties efficiently
Perform work safely by following all standards for performance
Function as part of a collaborative effort, and work closely with other team members and construction industry professionals
Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications

Responsibilities
Complete projects and receive new-project instructions from construction manager or supervisor
Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate potential hazards and ensure day-to-day safety, and keep tools and equipment in good working condition
Load and unload materials, and identify and distribute them to appropriate locations
Operate machinery according to project plans and specifications
Prepare construction sites by digging, moving dirt, and compacting space
Document and report work delays, emergencies, and other projects

Skills and Abilities

Transportation/Travel Information
 - Willing to travel
 - Valid driver's licence
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
 - Not required
 - Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
 - WHMIS Certificate
Specific Skills
 - Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
 - Read blueprints
 - Load, unload and transport construction materials
 - Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
 - Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
