Job Description:
Viscount Childcare Centre is a brand new licensed childcare facility that will be opening this fall. VCC will have a capacity of 30 children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 6 years. We are looking for a cook to join our team. This position is very flexible in hours per day/week and formal education is not required.

Responsibilities include menu planning, food purchasing, food preparation and service for 2-3 meals per day, and housekeeping of the kitchen and eating area. Meals and snacks prepared must be nutritious and follow the guidelines set out by the Ministry of Education and Canada Food Guide.

The cook will also have some responsibilities in providing childcare to cover staff during lunch breaks, programming time, general housekeeping, and to ensure staff-child ratios are met when needed.

Requirements:
Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector Check
Safe Food Handling Course or willing to attain
First Aid and CPR or willing to attain
ECE Lvl 1, 2 or 3 is an asset but not required

Salary:
- $14.25-$23 based on education and experience
